KalenTurn - Privacy Policy

KalenTurn is a shift calendar and paycheck-forecast app developed by Gregory Koehler ("we," "us"). This policy describes what the app does with your information. The short version: KalenTurn has no accounts and no servers. Your data lives on your device, and we never receive it.

Information the app stores - on your device only

Everything you enter - schedules, pay details, leave banks, trades, certifications, notes, and check history - is stored locally on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any server we operate, because we do not operate one. We cannot see, access, or recover your data.

Backups

The app can export a backup file when you choose to. That file goes wherever you send it (Files, iCloud Drive, email, etc.) under your control. Treat it with care: it contains your pay and schedule details. Importing a backup replaces the app's data on that device, after an automatic safety copy and your confirmation.

Calendar access (optional export feature)

If you turn on device-calendar export, the app requests calendar access to create and maintain calendars named "KalenTurn" followed by your calendar's name - calendars the app itself creates. The app reads and updates only those calendars; it does not read your other calendars, and it never imports anything from them. Exported events contain dates and shift labels only - never pay figures, bank balances, or your day notes. You can turn export off at any time and remove the exported events.

Notifications

Reminders (paydays, bank watch levels, certification expirations) are generated locally on your device. No information leaves the device to create them.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Subscription status is read from your Apple receipt on the device. Apple's privacy policy governs Apple's handling of your purchase.

No tracking, no ads, no third parties

KalenTurn contains no advertising, no analytics trackers, and no third-party data SDKs. We do not collect usage data, device identifiers, or location. (The app does not use your location at all.)

Family sharing

Apple Family Sharing, where enabled on a plan, is administered entirely by Apple. Sharing a subscription shares no app data: every person's KalenTurn data stays on their own device.

Children

KalenTurn is a workplace tool. It is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
